MPHUMAKUDZE:Residents here at Mphumakudze are questioning Siphofaneni Member of Parliament(MP) why she is supporting a relative to take over as the new Bucopho BeNkhundla instead of supporting the wife to arrested Bucopho Mphakatsi Mbhamali.
This comes after LaZwide refused to support the wife to the arrested Bucopho BaWinile Gwebu but, opted to support a relative or friend to Mduduzi Magawugawu Simelane’s family.
“She has been receiving support because people were sympathizing with her after the persecution of her husband Magawugawu. We were hoping that she will also sympathize with Mbhamali’s wife even though Mbhamali was arrested in South Africa not for political reasons but, work related issues. So we are surprised to see her supporting Magawugawu’s relative. Seemingly, this is about her family?”, said a resident during a campaign meeting this week.
The Elections and Boundaries Commission(EBC) will soon hold Bucopho elections at Mphumakudze after the arrest of the area’s Bucopho and the campaign has already started.
