EWADE Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Samson Sithole signs R851million Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with NAMBoard in support of small farmers, over 100 000 emaSwati to benefit.

MBABANE:Samson Sithole, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Eswatini Water and Agricultural Development Enterprise(EWADE) has, on behalf of the State owned entity, signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with National Agricultural Marketing Board(NAMBoard) and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister(DPM) to roll out the R851million Smallholder Agricultural Productivity Enhancement and Marketing Project(SAPEMP).

The project that is backed by the eSwatini Government, the Green Climate Fund and the International Fund for Agricultural Development(IFAD) and, the funding will benefit over nineteen thousand sixty hundred(19 600) households resulting to over one hundred thousand(100 000) people benefiting.

Addressing stakeholders during the signing ceremony held at the Mountain View-Mbabane, EWADE CEO Samson Sithole described the signed Memorandum of Understanding as a “National Development Instrument”.
