MBABANE:Phila Buthelezi, the Minister of Labour and Social Security has come out to clarify that Government scholarships are not for sale.
Speaking through Government online platforms on Wednesday, the Minister said scholarships are awarded to deserving emaSwati students ‘free of charge’ adding that, Labour Ministry officials suspected of engaging in corruption, demanding bribes for scholarships are being investigated by the police.
“We were commanded by the King to award scholarships to deserving emaSwati, Government scholarships are not for sale,” said the Labour Minister.
