MBABANE:Princess Tsandzile, the Hhohho Regional Administrator(RA) defended Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo during a secret royal meeting for “BantfwabeNkhosi Sobhuza”.
The meeting was held in April 2025 before the King’s Birthday and was organized to discuss gifts to be presented to King Mswati.
But while the Princess was talking, other sons and daughters of Sobhuza kept quiet, she then made accusations against those who were quiet listening to her that, they were recording with an intention to leak the information to ‘Zwemart’, that’s why they were quiet.
“You see now, some are quiet, they want to report me to Zwemart. Kodvwa lengikushoko nje wentiwani loMnguni, anga-raper bani nje asatikhulele?”. Kuhlupha lokutsi sitsi sikhuluma lana kani labanye bahamba na-Zwemart, bagijime bayomtjela”, said the Princess in an information leaked to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.
But while the Princess was speaking, some of the Princes and Princess were heard speaking in a hushed tone saying “ute yini kani umpipi?”.
Princess Tsandzile was then told to allow the courts to convict or acquit Alpheous Nxumalo, the Civil Service Commission(CSC) recently announced the renewal of Nxumalo’s contract.
Efforts to reach Princess Tsandzile for a comment proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report as her phone rang unanswered.
But CSC Chairman Simanga Mamba, through a press statement said, Nxumalo remains innocent until proven guilty.
Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo told this Swaziland News on Wednesday that “he is still shocked after the renewal of his contract”.
