MBABANE:Colani Hlatjwako, the One Billion Rising Coordinator says there’s nothing wrong with the large or growing number of eSwatini women impregnated by Asians in the rural areas.
Responding to this Swaziland News on Sunday evening, Hlatjwako said if the women have reached the consenting age, “they are free to fall in-love” with the Asians and have children.
“As long as they have reached the consenting age, there’s nothing wrong”, said the women’s rights activist.
Efforts to reach Home Affairs Minister Princess Lindiwe proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
On another note, the Ministry of Home Affairs Registrar of Births and Death Certificates computer system reveals a growing number of eSwatini women registering their children with Asian surnames like Patel, Khan, Ahmed, and Ali.
Some Asians are owning Supermarkets and Grocery Shops, impregnating more eSwatini women in the rural areas.
