Tinkhundla Minister Sikhumbuzo Dlamini applauds World Vision Eswatini for supporting development in the country and UN Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) agenda, receives structures worth R800,000.00.

KUKHANYENI:Sikhumbuzo Dlamini, the Minister of Tinkhundla and Development, has thanked World Vision Eswatini for supporting development in the country.

The Minister was speaking on Wednesday when receiving structures worth eight hundred thousand Rands(R800,000.00) at Kukhanyeni Inkhundla.

“Allow me to, on behalf of His Majesty’s Government express our gratitude to World Vision Eswatini for the good work that they have done here at Ekukhanyeni since 2009. Looking back then and now, we have every reason to flash a smile in demonstrating our happiness for the numerous projects undertaken through Ekukhanyeni AP where about 17 000 emaSwati have benefitted. It has been a journey characterized by ups and down, but at the end of it all, we are here today to applaud what has been a successful endeavor”, he said as quoted by Government online platforms.

The Minister said such development projects have been significant in ensuring that children enjoy good health, are cared for and protected. 

“This programme has also enhanced the country in the fight against the devastating HIV/AIDS scourge that swept through the entire country The interventions that you brought were essential in championing the country’s well documented milestone in fighting the pandemic,” he said.

On another note, the Minister said, Government “also recognized the massive role played by World Vision in meeting Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 on ensuring access to clean water through the R5million Nkiliji Water Supply Scheme.
