MBABANE:Bishop Bongani Masuku of the Rock of Life Tabernacle allegedly attempted to sell a church built by members including the land for R8million.

The church is situated at Fonteyn-Mbabane and the Bishop first tried to use the church and the land as surety when applying for a bank personal loan but, banks refused to approve the loan as doing so was against the Constitution of the church.

Masuku is alleged to have been pressured by his new uMkhokheli Busisiwe Motsa to sell the church and cash the money.

“We tried to stop him and we don’t know if he will continue in his attempts to the church”, said one of the Pastors.

Reached for comments by this Swaziland News on Friday evening, the Bishop asked who shared such information to this publication, he then denied planning to sell the church. He said if “there are disagreement within the church, the Constitution says it must be donated” to others.

“Who gave you such information?. I cannot sell the church, if there are issues that could result to the dissolution of the church, the Constitution says the property must be donated to others who want to worship God,” said the Bishop.

But this publication gathered that, Masuku tried to sell the church and before that, he tried to use it as surety when applying for a bank loan.
