MBABANE: Tanzanian President John Magufuli has died, senior political sources in that country have revealed.

Even thou the cause of death has not be disclosed as his illness was kept a top secret by authorities, information gathered suggests that he died of COVID-19 complications.

As the news regarding the death of the President spreads within the international media circles on Wednesday midnight, SABC reported, however, no official confirmation has been released by the office of the President at the time of compiling this report.

Few days before the death of Magufuli, citizens including journalists were harassed and arrested for reporting that the President was sick, he has been denying and mocking the existence of COVID-19.
