MBABANE:Sicelo ‘KhungaNkhosi’ Dlamini, the vocal Mayiwane Member of Parliament(MP) says, he will never speak about the widely reported police Phase two(II) salary increment in Parliament after Government paid junior cops their money.

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Sunday, the MP said, even though some junior police officers were not happy with the amount but, the chapter has been closed after the cops accepted the money paid subsequent to the signing of an agreement.

“As a politician, I don’t want to be seen speaking one and the same issue, there are various issues in the country that need to be addressed. Civil servants want a salary increment, some workers in the private sector particularly in the textile and manufacturing industries are earning peanuts. So now I will be advocating for a basic minimum wage, at least all workers in the country including textile workers must not earn less than three thousand five hundred(R3,500.00)”, said the MP.

The thirty seven(37) year-old MP said, as a former police officer, he fully understands that “he is now an MP for all emaSwati not only police officers” hence he doesn’t want to be seen repeating the concluded Phase two(II) issue.
