MBABANE:Zanele Magagula, the Hhohho Regional Member of Parliament(MP) says she is facing financial challenges but, trying to pay off her debts.

The MP contacted editor Zweli Martin Dlamini on Monday morning and asked him to instruct a journalist who will interview her so that, “she can open up regarding the widely reported alleged fraud scandals involving money”.

Indeed, the editor sent this journalist and the interview took place at Thembelihle-Mbabane, the Regional MP said her financial troubles started while she was working as a teacher and, even before she became a Member of Parliament.

“As you know teachers are facing financial challenges, I was also in that situation and I am still financially struggling but trying to pay off all my debts. I contacted the editor to try and explain myself and he said he will send you. Kindly understand my situation, these consistent articles are damaging my reputation and my children are now depressed,” said the MP.

But the MP vigorously denied defrauding an elderly member of her church(Gogo) about five hundred thousand (R500,000.00) pension while promising her miracles. She accused Fikile Nkambule who contacted this publication and reported the matter of being aggrived after church disputes, which led to her leaving the church a few months back.

“I prayed for the elderly woman in 2017 and she then gave me that money as a token of appreciation, it was even far less than R500,000.00”, she said.
