Thousands of workers march to the Prime Minister’s Office to deliver a petition, demand full implementation of salary review report amid poverty situation in the tiny Kingdom.

MBABANE:Thousands of civil servants marched to the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday to deliver a petition calling for the full implementation of the recently released salary review report.

Eswatini, a tiny Kingdom ruled by King Mswati as an absolute Monarch, has about 70% of the population living below the poverty line, some civil servants are among citizens struggling to afford a decent meal amid delay in the implementation of the salary review.

Government had agreed to implement the report and award the civil servants a salary increment but, later changed and negotiated with union seeking to implement the report in stages.
