MBABANE:Mbongwa Dlamini, the President of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT) has maintained that, as trade unions, they want all civil servants to receive their salary increment including back-pay this month.

On Wednesday, thousands of Government workers marched to the Prime Minister’s Office to deliver a petition and expressed rejection of the R500million tabled for the salary review, the offer was then increased by Government to R1.29billion.

Addressing the workers, SNAT President Mbongwa Dlamini stated that Government has increased the offer to the said amount.

“We have a new offer now from Government, it’s sixty-four percent(64%) of what has been proposed by the Consultant. Government further proposed to pay us fifty-percent(50%) housing allowance and then pay traveling allowance in full”, said the SNAT President.

The now convincing offer from the eSwatini Government might result to trade unions signing the agreement after consultations with their members.
