MBABANE:The Management of Stucky Motors has come out to clarify that the company never sponsored Miss Eswatini Temvelo Mtsetfwa but, the organizers approached the company with one request-to take photographs.
This comes after Mayiwane MP Sicelo ‘KhungaNkhosi’ Dlamini told Parliament that, Miss Eswatini did not receive the vehicle from the alleged sponsor.
But in a press statement sent to this Swaziland News on Friday afternoon, the Management said after receiving the request, the company welcomed the contestants for a brief photoshoot within their premises.
“At no point during this interaction was there any request, discussion, or agreement relating to a vehicle sponsorship. Stucky Motors was never approached to sponsor a vehicle, nor did we commit to providing or donating one. This is an important fact that must be clearly understood.During the photoshoot, the pageant organisers brought along a magnetic sticker which they temporarily placed on one of the vehicles. The sticker did not contain any Stucky Motors branding, logos, or wording indicating sponsorship. It was a simple, removable prop used for photography purposes”, reads the press statement in part.
Stucky Management said to comfirm that they were not sponsors, company representatives were not present during the Miss Eswatini event and there was no company branding.
“We were not present at the Miss Eswatini main event-no representatives, no branding, no vehicles on display. We were never mentioned on the official Miss Eswatini Facebook or Instagram pages as sponsors. There were no posts or announcements on any of our official platforms-including Stucky Motors Eswatini or Omoda Jaecoo pages-claiming or confirming any sponsorship”, said the Management.
