MBABANE:Mashumi Shongwe, a murder suspect who is out on bail for allegedly killing his wife Tigezile Shongwe, has been appointed as a member of the Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration Commission(CMAC) Board of Directors.
Shongwe has been appointed by Labour and Social Security Minister Phila Buthelezi and was announced this week together with Mzwandile Dlamini(Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson Nokwazi Mhlanga, Bongani Mtshali, Thulsile Dladla, Sikelela Dlamini and Armstrong Dlamini.
Others include Mjuluko Dlamini, Nompumelelo Dlamini and Lomkhosi Dlamini-Magagula.
Mashumi Shongwe allegedly killed his wife in the midst of a domestic dispute, he is out on bail but has been appointed as a member of the highest CMAC Governing Board, an institution responsible for promoting workers and/or industrial relations.
The appointment comes a few weeks after the Civil Service Commission(CSC renewed the contract of Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo who is also out on bail but, on rape allegations.
