MBABANE:The African Union(AU) has announced the immediate suspension of Madagascar as a member of the continental organization whose fundamental objective is to promote peace, security, economic development, and political integration across the continent.
Aljazeera reported earlier on Thursday that, the decision by the AU to suspended Madagascar comes after the military colluded with youth protesters and removed President Andry Rajoelina who subsequently fled the country to Dubai-the United Arab Emirates(UAE) on a French military aircraft.
It has been reported that, the suspension comes as part of the AU’s efforts to restore constitutional order in Madagascar.
