MBABANE:Ex-Senator Ndileka Dlamini says Liqoqo King’s Advisory Council Chairman Paul Dlamini is abusing his powers, with an alleged intention to benefit from the multimillion eState of her late husband.

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Monday afternoon, the former Senator accused the Principal King’s Advisor of colluding with some family members to grab millions and ‘kick’ her out as a beneficiary of her late husband’s eState.

This comes after this publication published a letter where King’s Principal Advisor Paul Dlamini was directing the Managing Director of the Royal Eswatini Sugar Corporation(REScorp) Nick Jackson to suspend payments due to the former Senator pending finalization of the matter.

In the letter, the Liqoqo Chairman cited a family dispute while informing the Managing Director that, the King’s Advisory Council was presiding over the matter.

“Paul Dlamini is fully involved in all this, he wants a share that’s why he is colluding with the family members and relatives of my late husband to frustrate me”, said the former Senator.

Efforts to reach the King’s Advisor proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.

Responding to this Swaziland News on Monday morning when asked to clarify the letter, the REScorp Managing Director said the payment was stopped not only as per the letter from the traditional authorities but, there’s a court order freezing the payment.

“Yes we received the letter. We are holding funds on the instruction of the court and then the traditional authorities. We will release the funds when instructed, after the rightful recipient has been determined. We are not involved in the determination. This is not the first time this kind of issue has happened. There are many disputes between farmers and we get caught in the middle. This is because of the flow of funds for sugar payments which start from the Sugar Association, then to us and then on to the Growers”, said the Managing Director.
