Eswatini College of Technology(ECOT) Acting Principal bans meeting amid protests, says Ministry of Education investigating illegal strike action.

MBABANE:Henry Khumalo, the Acting Principal of the Eswatini College of Technology(ECOT) has banned all meetings amid protests within the institution of higher learning.

In a minute released on Monday and dated 20th October 2025, the Acting Principal further informed the students about an investigation by the Ministry of Education to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the illegal strike action.

“We urge students to refrain from participating in any form of illegal strike or protest”, he said.

Efforts to reach the Acting Principal for a comment proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.

But a concerned student told this Swaziland News that, as students they have been approaching the Management calling for the dismissal of Lecturer Titus Muchindu but their complaints were ignored by the Administrators of the institution.

“Our concern with this Lecturer is that, he is victimizing us. Even if we can provide the same answers during exams, some will pass others will fail amid victimization”,said the student.
