MBABANE:Zakhele Dlamini, the Director of Funduzi Forensic Services has confirmed attempts to hack his emails amid fresh investigation into the shortage of drugs in public hospitals.

It has been disclosed that, an alleged amateur hacker based in eSwatini attempted to gain access to Dlamini’s email last week using IP address number 102.214.161.45, the hacking was not successful and was intercepted by the Funduzi Forensic Services Director’s cyber security system.

It has been reported that, Funduzi Forensic Services has been awarded another tender by Government through the Auditor General’s Office to conduct a follow-up investigation into the shortage of drugs in public hospitals.

“It’s true that there was an attempt to hack my emails but the hackers were unable to gain access,” said the Funduzi Director.

Dlamini has been facing attacks after SwaziPharm Director allegedly unleashed his wide network of eSwatini State controlled journalists to discredit him his Forensic Services company but, it remains unclear if the businessman is linked to the alleged attempts to hack the emails.

Ashraff recently addressed a press conference and denied any wrongdoing in the alleged looting of billions of public funds.

But he has been allegedly unleashing State controlled journalists to attack the Public Accounts Committee(PAC), Funduzi Forensic Services, the Auditor General(AG) Timothy Matsebula and others who investigated the shortage of drugs in public hospitals.

The Office of the AG launched a fresh follow-up investigation into the shortage of drugs in public hospitals and, the investigation comes at the time when Ashraff is facing arrest for allegedly stealing about R1billion through his alternative company-Avapharm(Pty) Ltd.

The Anti Corruption Commission(ACC) has approached the Supreme Court seeking an order to throw Ashraff behind bars and this, comes after the SwaziPharm Director’s friend Chief Justice Bheki Maphalala dismissed a warrant of arrest application.

It remains unclear if Kareem Ashraff is linked to the attempt to hack the email of the forensic investigator but, one of the businessman’s companies works with the Royal Science and Technology(RSTP).
