MBABANE:United States(US) President Donald Trump has signed trade and rare earths deals with new Japan Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi heralding ‘golden age’ of alliance, the British Broadcasting Corporation(BBC) reported on Tuesday.
Trump said both the US and Japan made a lot of money through such trade deals but Japan remains the major beneficiary.
“We’ve made Japan a lot of money,” says Trump, before adding “but that's okay, they’re a big investor in our country,” he said.
On another note, Trump said Takaichi told him earlier about plans for Toyota to put $10bn into building plants "all over” the US, before telling the crowd: "Go out and buy a Toyota".
