BREAKING NEWS:Eswatini Revenue Service(ERS) gets larger share after civil servants salary increment, SNAT President says money deducted back to Government.

MBABANE:Mbongwa Dlamini,the President of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT) says as Public Sector Unions(PSUs), they will engage Government amid outcry within the public service regarding unusual taxation.

Responding to this Swaziland News on Tuesday afternoon, the SNAT President confirmed that “civil servants are complaining that their monies” were heavily or possible double taxed.

“We will engaged Government to find out what happened because as the situation stands, more money has been deducted back to Government and civil servants are ‘crying’”, said the SNAT President.

It has been disclosed that, the Eswatini Revenue Service(ERS) will collect more money this month of October as Pay as You Earn(PAYE) tax after the implementation of the salary review.

Ntobeko Dlamini, the Director-Marketing and Communications said, she was in a meeting and will comment later.

Civil servants across the country are complaining after receiving almost nothing amid heavily taxation.

But despite the heavy taxation, eSwatini is facing shortage of drugs in public hospitals, Government is failing to maintain roads and provide working equipment in schools.
