MBABANE:Linda Jele, the journalist of the State owned Radio Station who was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend Bongile Sukati has shared his side of the story through the courts.
Jele opened a criminal case against Sukati for allegedly invading his house at Mobeni and destroyed his properties including a Wardrobe, police investigated the matter and arrested Bongile Sukati as well.
A month ago, the State journalist told this Swaziland News to wait as his side of the story will be known soon and indeed, the police found that it was Sukati who violently invaded Jele’s house, accusing the journalist of failing to answer his cellphone.
But after destroying Jele’s properties, Sukati rushed to open a criminal case alleging that, the journalist assaulted her, both criminal cases are pending before court, Jele and Sukati were charged under the Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence Act(SODV).
The SODV Act was established to punish perpetrators of domestic violence regardless of gender, even men are now able to open abuse criminal cases against rouge women.
