MBABANE:The Kingdom of Eswatini and the Kingdom of Morocco convened for the inaugural session of the Joint Commission for Cooperation, marking a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral relations between the two Nations, Government online platforms reported this week.
It has been reported that, in the session was co-chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Senator Pholile Shakantu and Nasser Bourita, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates.
“This pivotal gathering builds on the diplomatic relationship established in 1996, with the Kingdom of Eswatini opening its mission in Rabat in 2020. Bilateral cooperation has deepened significantly in recent years, with expert meetings held in Eswatini in 2023 and 2024 in preparation for this landmark session.During the meeting, a joint communiqué was signed, which included a comprehensive roadmap for cooperation covering the years 2026-2028. This roadmap aims to enhance collaboration across multiple sectors, including education and training, technical cooperation, economic promotion, international funding, and diplomatic exchanges”, reads the Government online report.
