MBABANE:Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo was allegedly caught with another under-age girl an few weeks ago and as a result, he might face new rape charges under the Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence(SODOV) Act.
Nxumalo who is out on bail on rape charges, addressed a press conference on Wednesday, apologizing to the King, the Queen and Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini after his reckless statement against the PM.
But now, new information has emerged suggesting that, Alpheous Nxumalo is facing a fresh investigation and possibly new rape charges or revocation of his bail.
“He was caught with another under-age girl and is a subject of an investigation, I think he was frustrated when he spoke to you because he knows he might be re-arrested,”said a source within the DPP’s Office.
Efforts to seek a comment from DPP Lomvula Hlophe proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
But the Government Spokesperson who has been rejected by Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini because of his alleged conduct to rape children, is challenging the SODV Act.
Speaking to this Swaziland News earlier, Nxumalo wondered why his alleged rape case is discussed in the media, he then blasted the PM for rejecting the contract signed with the Civil Service Commission(CSC) but, later withdrew the reckless statement.
“Even before my arrest, you were the first one to report and tell the world that I will be arrested for rape and I was arrested”, he said.
