NKHABA:Nkhaba Chief Prince Mnisi says the newly launched Nkhaba Development Plan does not only aligns with the country’s National Vision but, the United Nations(UN) Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) agenda.
As reported by Government online platforms, the Chief was speaking on Thursday during the handover of the Nkhaba Development Plan by the Ministry of Tinkhundla and Development.
“This vision extends beyond our Chiefdom, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals “Leaving no one behind” and the African Union’s Agenda 2063, “The Africa We Want.” We believe that economic development and environmental stewardship are not mutually exclusive, but rather, complementary paths to a prosperous future,” said the Chief.
On another note, Chief Prince Mnisi said, “Nkhaba is also experiencing a boom in tourism”, driven by the rapid development of hospitality sector within our Chiefdom.
“While we appreciate the opportunities this brings, it is time to ensure that these benefits are more equitably shared, empowering our communities to participate more fully in the economic gains.Despite these blessings, we face challenges including youth unemployment, land degradation, and limited access to essential infrastructure and economic opportunities,” he said.
Hhohho Regional Administrator(RA) Princess Tsandzile and Ministry of Tinkhundla Under Secretary Zwakele Dlamini were present, the Under Secretary was representing Tinkhundla Minister Sikhumbuzo Dlamini.
