MBABANE:Well-known Private Investigator Hunter Shongwe’s health condition is reportedly worsening in Mbabane Government Hospital amid shortage of drugs.

“His condition is worsening and he might soon take the last breath because we don’t have money to buy medication,” said a relative.

The once powerful and popular private detective was rushed to hospital last week in a critical condition and, is currently languishing with no medication, dozens of emaSwati have died since the health crisis erupted triggered by rampant corruption in the public administration.

SwaziPharm Director Kareem Ashraff who stands accused of stealing billions of public funds resulting in the shortage of drugs in public hospitals and the death of emaSwati, filed an application with the Supreme Court challenging his arrest.

This comes after his alleged friend Chief Justice Bheki Maphalala dismissed a warrant of arrest application filed by the Anti Corruption Commission(ACC) in collaboration with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions(DPP).
