MBABANE:The two per-cent(2%) salary increment awarded to eSwatini security officers suggests that, each junior officer will have his/her salary increased by a mere thirty-five Rands(R35.00) per-month after tax.
But a statement released by the Correctional Services Staff Association this week suggests that, senior officers will have their salaries increased by eighteen per-cent(18%).
“During the meeting, the consultant presented a report which comprised two key categories, namely Adjustments and Allowances”, reads the statement in part.
Eswatini security officers particularly junior police officers, have been demanding a salary increment under Phase two(II), a 2014 Circular approved by the Government but never implemented.
