MBABANE:A South African technology company has been awarded a tender worth two hundred and forty thousand Rands(R240,000.00) to upgrade the current Swaziland News website to meet international standards and commercialize.

The project is highly expected to commence at the end of November 2025, the Swaziland News website was last upgraded in 2019 through funding sourced from the then Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa(OSISA).

But with the ever changing dynamics of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the publication secured another funding from an Embassy based in South Africa to upgrade the website.

The first stage includes the revamping and the second stage will include the development of an app thus increasing the total costs to over five hundred thousand Rands(R500,000.00).

Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini described the upgrading as a long term investment for the publication, he thanked global partners of the Swaziland News for the continued support.

Dlamini further thanked all technology companies in eSwatini, South Africa and other Southern African Development Community(SADC) countries who presented proposals to upgrade website.
