MBABANE:Owen Nxumalo, the Minister of Education and Training says only the King holds power in eSwatini and therefore, teachers must refrain from shouting “Amandla awethu(power to the people”.
The Education Minister was addressing new Graduates of the William Pitcher College on Thursday at The George Hotel.
“Don’t shout “Amandla awethu”, there’s nothing like, it’s only the King who holds power,” said the Education Minister.
As confirmed by the Education Minister, King Mswati is an absolute Monarch, he controls Parliament, appoints all Judges, the Prime Minister, a majority of Senators and all members of the various Governing Councils.
