MANZINI:Sergeant Dumsile Khumalo, the Secretary General of the Royal Eswatini Police Staff Association(REPOSA) says, even though the un-officially announced consultant report suggests that she might receive up to eighteen percent(18%) salary increment, she won’t stop calling for better salaries for junior officers.
When asked by this Swaziland News if she will continue fighting for the welfare of the junior cops after receiving the salary increament far above those of junior officers, the REPOSA Secretary General said, leadership must be guided by Godly principles and the desire to see others having a better life not personal interests.
“It’s not about me but the welfare of junior officers”, she said.
On another note, the REPOSA Secretary General clarified that, she was elected into the position by junior officers with trust and therefore, she will not dump them.
“When you lead people, you cannot then stop your leadership role just because you have personally benefited”, she said.
Junior cops might receive two percent(2%) salary increment while Sergeants and other senior officers might receive from 18% up to thirty-seven percent(37%).
