MPUMALANGA:Nontsikelelo ‘Longobose’ Vilakati, the Deputy President of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) Women’s League has appealed to South Africa to protect emaSwati from xenophobic attacks as life is literally a struggle in the Kingdom of eSwatini.
PUDEMO is the main and largest liberation movement, fighting for democratic reforms in the tiny Kingdom, the PUDEMO Women’s League Deputy President was addressing the African National Congress Women's League (ANCWL) Mpumalanga Provincial Conference. She highlighted the concerning rise in crime against humanity in eSwatini, emphasizing that the Kingdom has become a crime scene.
"The situation in eSwatini is dire, and as guests in this country, we urge you to protect political exiles from xenophobic attacks and operations like the ‘Dudula’ Movement. We appreciate the ANCWL’s solidarity and support in hosting us at this Conference,” she said.
The ANCWL Mpumalanga Provincial Conference was held at Pinaardam Leisure Resort from November 14-16, 2025, provided a platform for discussions on women’s empowerment, economic development, and regional solidarity. The Conference concluded with a renewed commitment to support and protect vulnerable communities, including political exiles from eSwatini.
