MBABANE:Percy Simelane, the King’s Spokesperson says, the Monarch views the reported alleged clash between Education and Training Minister Owen Nxumalo and Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini “as a normal political turbulence that does not necessarily call for an emergency landing”.

Reacting to an article published by this Swaziland News earlier on Sunday, the King’s Spokesperson said unless formally reported, the Monarch will not intervene of course, with the basic understanding that, in all levels of National responsibility, there are structures established to deal with misunderstandings.

“Our experience is that unless duly reported to him for consideration, he will stay out of it with the understanding that in all levels of National responsibility, there are structures to deal with misunderstandings. We view the alleged showdown between the Cabinet Chairman and a Minister as a mere turbulence that does not necessarily call for emergency landing”, said the King’s Spokesperson.

Education and Training Minister Owen Nxumalo came hard on Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini during a Cabinet meeting last week and, went as far as reminding him that, he does not have powers like the King but a mere Chairman of Cabinet.
