MBABANE:Members of Parliament(MPs) are now earning over one hundred thousand Rands(R100,000.00) monthly salaries after the recent salary review, they received their first increased salaries this month of November.
The salary increment for MPs and civil servants was confirmed by Finance Minister Neal Rijikernberg when addressing the media recently, police officers, Correctional Services officers and soldiers received around two-percent(2%).
The salaries for MPs include a car, housing and constituency allowances among others, members of the various Governing Councils(eMabandla) received a similar salary increment and, they are on the same MPs scale.
