MBABANE:Dr Phil Mnisi, the Governor of the Central Bank of Eswatini(CBE) is in Kampala-Uganda attending a series of high-level COMESA Monetary Cooperation and Integration Meetings, including the 2025 Governors’ Symposium.
The financial institution’s online platforms reported, that these engagements “bring together Central Bank Governors from the COMESA region” to review progress in regional monetary integration and to outline the work programme for 2026.
Dr. Mnisi chaired a panel discussion on the topic ‘Assessing Financial Sector Stability and Resilience to Exogenous Shocks in the COMESA Region’.
“Our goal is not simply to understand shocks, but to ensure that our financial sectors remain robust, inclusive, and capable of supporting sustainable economic development even in times of volatility,” he said.
