MBABANE:Owen Nxumalo, the Minister of Education and Training says Cabinet is speeding-up the process of assisting the collapsing University of Eswatini(UNESWA).
Addressing the media last week when announcing a new Commitee tasked with implementing recommendations of the Ubombo Sugar Limited Managing Director Muzi Siyaya Committee, the Education Minister said, the Committee that consists of highly qualified individuals will guide even him as the Minister regarding “what’s needs to be done and further advise if the budget” for the University was sufficient.
“I would also like to thank the World Bank for financially supporting the efforts to assist the University of Eswatini,” said the Education Minister.
On another note, the Education and Training Minister thanked the Ubombo Sugar Limited Muzi Siyaya Committee that conducted the preliminary investigation into the challenges within the University of Eswatini.
“Cabinet was impressed with the work done by the Muzi Siyaya Committee”, said the Education Minister.
It has been disclosed that, with the support from the World Bank, the new Committee is highly expected to implement the recommendations of the Muzi Siyaya Committee.
