NOKWANE:Army Commander Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze held a secret meeting with some senior Commanding Officers on Monday afternoon where he allegedly plotted and subsequently ordered the transfer of Spokesperson Lieutenant Tengetile Khumalo.
It has been disclosed that, during the said meeting, the Army Commander accused the Spokesperson of disrespecting his orders by refusing to pay two hundred and seventy Rands(R270.00) contribution for “litiya la-Commander”.
Depending on seniority within the Army, soldiers across the country are being forced to contribute from fifty Rands(R50.00) to five hundred Rands(R500.00) for the Army Commander’s gift who will be visiting the various Army Barracks, Lieutenant Tengetile Khumalo refused to contribute the money.
Efforts to seek a comment from the Army Commander proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report, his cellphone rang unanswered.
Reached for comments by this Swaziland News, Army Spokesperson Lieutenant Tengetile Khumalo said “she strongly believes the decision to demand contributions for “litiya la-Commander” is an unlawful order and therefore,” she personally refused to pay the money.
“Your questionnaire is highly appreciated, I did not honor any payment owing to the fact that l heed to all clear and valid military purpose lawful orders as a professional army officer,” she said.
Army Commander Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze is currently forcing all soldiers across the country to contribute for his gift known as “litiya la-Commander”.
