MBABANE:Peter ‘Samora’ Simelane, the Eswatini Med Principal Officer has filed an application for recusal against Supreme Court Judge Phesheya Dlamini.
The court application raises strong concerns about royal family links between Judge Phesheya Dlamini, Justice Ticheme Dlamini and former Eswatini Med Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Nokuthula Dlamini, the Eswatini Med Principal Officer “claims Judge Phesheya cannot be impartial in the matter”.
Eswatini Med is involved in a legal battle with Business Eswatini, the tension erupted after Business Eswatini attempted to remove the Board of Directors led by Samuel ‘Sammy’ Dlamini.
Principal Officer Peter Simelane was accused of violating a court order directing him not to hold an Annual General Meeting(AGM) but, both Samuel ‘Sammy’ Dlamini and the Principal Officer filed an application and attached evidence alleging that, Judge Ticheme Dlamini presided over the matter with an undeclared conflict of interest.
The matter is now before the Supreme Court and Eswatini Med is now alleging links between Judge Phesheya Dlamini, ex-Eswatini Med CFO Nokthula Dlamini and Judge Ticheme Dlamini.
