MBABANE:Lieutenant Tengetile Khumalo,the outgoing Army Spokesperson says she will respect the lawful order transferring her to the Research Department but maintains that she will not contribute money for the Commander’s gift known as “litiya la-Commander”.
Responding to this Swaziland News on Tuesday, the outgoing Army Spokesperson said, officers are transferred from time-to-time within the Army and therefore, she will respect the Army Commander’s lawful directive removing her as the Army Spokesperson.
“A transfer in the military is a very lawful order which l will not hesitate to execute Mlangeni.My expectations to the members of the Fourth Estate is the continuation of the support and collaboration to the newly appointed Public Affairs Officer, because without the media chances are very slim to successfully carry out all designated duties of the Office.To the incoming kindly note that all accredited media houses local and international seek your assistance and responses constantly hence kindly treat professionally and ethically with your utmost respect,” said the outgoing Army Spokesperson.
Lieutenant Tengetile Khumalo was removed as the Army Spokesperson as reported by this publication earlier on Tuesday morning, merely for refusing to contribute two hundred and seventy(R270.00) as “litiya la-Commander”.
The Army Commander is currently forcing all soldiers to contribute money for his gifts when visiting the various Army Barracks.
