MBABANE:His Excellency Moses Vilakati, the African Union(AU) Commissioner for Agriculture, Rural Development, Blue Economy and Sustainable Environment (ARBE) says, the AU aims to generate concrete policy directions and actionable commitments to accelerate digital transformation across Member States.
As reported by the AU online platforms, the African Union Commissioner for ARBE was speaking during the AU Conference on Digital Agriculture, he expressed the African Union’s ambition to ensure that forty-five percent(45%) of Agrifood comes from the African continent by 2030.
“Africa must not stand at the periphery of this transformation. Above all, we aim to generate concrete policy directions and actionable commitments to accelerate digital transformation across our Member States.We have an ambition; 45% of Agrifood must come from Africa by 2030. Digital transformation ought to assist Africa in that regard,” said the AU Commissioner for ARBE.
