MBABANE:Alpheous Nxumalo, the Government Spokesperson, told Industrial Court Judge Abande Dlamini that “he is now living below the poverty line amid refusal by the Eswatini Government to release his salary”.
Nxumalo signed a contract with the Civil Service Commission(CSC) but, Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini rejected him saying he can’t be a Government Spokesperson while facing child rape criminal charges.
But Nxumalo instructed lawyer Khumbulani Msibi to approach the court for an order directing Government to release the salary as per the signed contract.
Judge Abande Dlamini postponed the matter after both parties agreed to try and settle it out of court.
