MBABANE:The High Court of Eswatini has dismissed an urgent application filed by Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo who was avoiding a rape trial by challenging the provisions of the Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence (SODV) Act.
This means Nxumalo will now face the criminal charges under the same law for allegedly raping children, the application was dismissed by Judge Mumcy Dlamini, sitting with Judge Bongani Dlamini and Judge Zonke Magagula.
The Government Spokesperson was arguing that it was part of Eswatini Law and Custom to have sex with children the “man feels the child is matured enough”.
