MBABANE:Savannah Maziya, the Minister of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) has been honored with the Leadership Award at the Prestigious Annual Predecessors Awards 2025-Africa Edition, Government online platforms reported.

The Awards were held on 6th December 2025 at The Revival City, Midrand-Johannesburg, the Predecessors’ Awards is a globally celebrated initiative aimed at recognising individuals who have made significant, transformational, and often under-recognised contributions across various sectors.

“Its mission is to shine a spotlight on impactful individuals whose service to humanity, leadership, and innovation continue to shape nations and uplift communities,” reads the Government online report in part.

On another note, Information Minister Savannah Maziya when receiving the award, expressed appreciation for the recognition.

“I am very honoured to receive this award and thank those who conferred it. It is ever so encouraging to be recognised for the work one engages in by promoting STEM for women in Eswatini and globally and to understand that people around the world appreciate one’s efforts. We as Eswatini are part of a big world - we must contribute to it, whilst developing our own. His Majesty the King speaks continually about us taking our place in the world and working towards being a first world country. This kind of honour makes one feel proud to playing however small a role, to contribute to that future. I am thankful and remain humbled,” she said.
