MBABANE:UmntfwaneNkhosi Polycarp Dlamini of Moneni has confirmed that, the Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC) stopped electricity connections at Moneni amid dispute with Lwandle uMphakatsi.

Responding to this Swaziland News on Wednesday evening, Dlamini said the instruction or order stopping the Electricity Company and Eswatini Water Services Corporation (EWSC) from connecting water and electricity at Moneni, was allegedly issued by Chief Nkamane Mkhatshwa.

“The Electricity Company told me that, Chief Nkamane stopped electricity connections within the area. It’s water and electricity, we are no longer able to file new applications for water and electricity connections,” he said.

Dlamini further told this publication that, he was willing to dialogue with the Chief to resolve the issue particularly, the electricity and water connections.
