MBABANE:Lwazi Dlamini, the President of the Eswatini National Association of Journalists (ESNAJ) and all Executive members will not compete in the Eswatini Media Awards to be held on Monday evening at the Royal Villas-Ezulwini.
On another note, Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini will also not participate in the awards but thanked the Executive Committee for the upcoming historic event that received support from the corporate sector.
The Swaziland News editor said as they grow older, “their time as journalists is nearly coming to an end” and therefore, the focus now should be strengthening the Journalists Association to create a foundation for future journalists.
Dlamini praised the Executive Committee under President Lwazi Dlamini and Secretary General Ntombi Mhlongo for taking a resolution not to compete in the awards adding that, this demonstrated leadership, commitment to serve and allow others to shine not personal glory.
