MBABANE:Prince Lonkhokhela, the Minister of Natural Resources and Energy alleges that, King Mswati wants to remove him as a Cabinet Minister.
The Natural Resources Minister disclosed this in an informal chat with Eswatini Ambassador to Indonesia Menzi Dlamini and other senior officials within his Ministry, this was during a meeting that took place at the Happy Valley Hotel on Friday and the meeting was seeking to explore energy opportunities in Indonesia, Malaysia and Japan.
“The King wants to remove me as a Minister, angitsi kukhona labahamba bayokhuluma ngami ku-Zwemart. Kodvwa-ke anginendzaba akangicoshe nakafuna,” said the Natural Resources Minister.
A questionnaire was sent to the Minister however, he had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
On another note, the Natural Resources Minister was exposed by this Swaziland News for allegedly stealing a Kaoline mineral in the Shiselweni Region.
But under his administration, Mines and Minerals Board Chairman Prince Guduza allegedly colluded with Chinese investors to steal a Green Chert mineral worth over R4billion at Malolotja, the mineral was subsequently impounded in China.
Details of the meeting between the Minister and the Ambassador was leaked to Swaziland News particularly when he expressed his frustration about the King’s moves to remove him.
Some of the statements the Natural Resources Minister allegedly made about King Mswati cannot be repeated due to their alleged defamatory nature and in protection of our sources, as this might give the Minister an idea who could have leaked the information among the senior officials who were present during the meeting.
