MBABANE:Cindy Stankoczi, the mother to King’s Advisory Council-Liqoqo member Prince Bandzile’s wife Kitali Stankoczi says, she has been trying to meet King Mswati in an effort to discuss the ‘on the rocks’ marriage between her daughter and the King’s son.

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Thursday, Stankoczi said her daughter married Prince Bandzile through Eswatini Law and Custom but, the marriage subsequently experienced challenges.

“Prince Bandzile bought a house and told my daughter to just stay there, no communication, no visit and my daughter has a bright future, she can come back home. My daughter told me that, Bandzile called her and said; “I am divorcing you” and then dropped the phone. I am not familiar with Eswatini marriages, can you just divorce your wife over the phone?. I’ve been trying to meet the King over this issue, my daughter was told to just stay in the house with a security, Bandzile disappeared after dumping her,” said the mother.

Efforts to reach Prince Bandzile for a comment proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.

On another note, the mother told this publication that, after dumping her daughter, Prince Bandzile reduced the monthly allowance from thirty thousand Rands (R30,000.00) to ten thousand Rands (R10,000.00).

“I want my daughter back but, things must be done the right way, you cannot just divorce a wife over the phone”, she said.
