MBABANE:EmaSwati living in the United Kingdom (UK) are allegedly grounded and unable to renew passports as the Eswatini Embassy fast becomes dysfunctional.
Even though some sources within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed the Embassy has been under renovations for the past weeks, it remains unclear how the renovations ended-up affecting service delivery.
“We are struggling to renew our passports, almost everyday we find notices at the gate as you can see in the pictures,” said Liswati residing in UK.
Efforts to seek a comment from Foreign Affairs Minister Pholile Dlamini-Shakantu, proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
But a senior official within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked this publication for bringing the issue to the Ministry’s attention promising to make a follow-up.
