MBABANE:Alpheous Nxumalo, the Government Spokesperson, might spend over two (2) years of his new three (3) year contract without working as the matter reaches the Supreme Court.
Nxumalo who is facing child rape criminal charges, is constitutionally challenging the provisions of the Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence Act (SODOV), the matter will first be heard by the Supreme Court before going for trial.
This means should the matter be heard by the Supreme Court this year, the criminal trial might be heard next year, Nxumalo’s contract will expire in October 2028.
