MBABANE:Residents here at Meleti community under Ndzingeni Inkhundla are fixing the road amid heavy rains that reportedly grounded thousands across the country.

The Eswatini Tinkhundla Government reportedly ‘disappeared’ without fixing the roads, releasing one press statement after another appealing for patience.

Efforts to reach Ndzingeni MP Gcina ‘Singalwi’ Magagula proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.

But Government through the Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS) is collecting Value Added Tax (VAT), Pay as You Earn (PAYE), Corporate Tax and other taxes but the situation in the country is worsening.

No drugs in public hospitals, no maintenance of roads, electricity tariffs are escalating, no scholarships for some deserving University students, Eswatini Water Services Corporation (EWSC) is supplying expensive muddy water with the crisis now dominating Parliament debates.

On another note, prices for food commodities are surging with the Government approving low salaries for workers in the private sector through Government Gazettes.
