“Litawushona emini ngendzaba yemali yetfu lengu 85%”, says SNAT Secretary General Lot Vilakati.

MBABANE: Lot Vilakati, the Secretary General of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) has warned Government against the halting civil servants’ eighty five percent (85%) outstanding salary increment.

Reacting to an article published by this Swaziland News earlier on Friday, Vilakati said as civil servants, they won’t allow Government to postpone the release of the money.

“We thank the Swaziland News for informing us early that, Government is planning to halt the release of the 85%, lesingakusho nje, litawushona emini”, he said.

Civil servants received only fifteen percent (15%) of their salary review earnings last year, salaries for Cabinet Ministers and Members of Parliament (MPs) were increased to about one hundred and fifty thousand Rands (R150,000.00).
