MBABANE: Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has shown a middle finger to Parliament by disregarding the Appropriation Act of 2025 that approved a subvention for The Luke Commission.

When this Swaziland News contacted The Luke Commission on Tuesday to verify if the R50million subvertion has been paid by the Government, the Hospital’s Spokesperson Zakhele Dlamini said “they are still waiting for the payment”.

Acting Government Spokesperson Thabile Mdluli had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

On another note, some Members of Parliament (MPs) threatened to move a motion seeking to either have the PM charged with contempt of Parliament or face a vote of no confidence.

The Luke Commission is a privately owned hospital but, the health institution has been flooded with emaSwati seeking health services after the collapse of the public health system.

Parliament subsequently approved a law, directing Government to assist the hospital with a subvention so that emaSwati could continue receiving medical treatment.
